Utility and Impact of Assessment Taskforce Deadline
As we enter a new year, SPA continues to strive to increase involvement amongst members and better define the power and impact of personality assessment. This is why SPA is seeking individuals to join the newly created Utility and Impact of Assessment Taskforce.
This taskforce will help lead the 2023 Strategic Tactic to "Define the utility & impact of personality assessment and communicate its value." Specific responsibilities of this taskforce will include evaluating the grant proposals submitted for the one-time Utility and Impact of Assessment Grant (to be announced in March), developing online programs related to this topic, identifying relevant articles and resources to be posted on the SPA website, and discussing the potential concept of a special issue dedicated to this topic.
Taskforce Member Representation and Qualifications
As a whole, the taskforce would be comprised of SPA members that:
- Represent global society membership.
- Represent student, early career, as well as mid/late career members, and both clinical and academic professionals.
- Be committed to ensuring the advancement of the SPA Strategic Plan through leadership development activities.
Please note that Taskforce members are ineligible to apply for the grant.
Estimated Time Commitment and Meeting Format
While hard to estimate, on average, we expect no more than 2-3 hours of meetings and outside work per month outside of the grant review processes, and the goals the taskforce sets for itself may necessitate a larger time commitment. The first meeting of the taskforce will occur sometime between February 20 and March 3. The review of the letters of intent will occur from May 19-June 7. The review of the finalists will occur from August 25-September 15. All meetings will be virtual and will occur through Zoom.
