SPA Commitments and Non-Discrimination Policy

The Society for Personality Assessment both acknowledges and commits to a continual focus on understanding the impact that individual and cultural differences have in our daily lived experiences and in our professional practice. We commit to challenge the systems that sustain marginalization, discrimination, and oppression directed toward all groups of people, in particular those from traditionally underrepresented and historically disenfranchised populations, as part of our ethical and social responsibility. Consistent with the values of human rights and justice, SPA commits to fostering an environment and culture that values intercultural dialogue, multicultural awareness, and sensitivity to our client’s cultural heritage and current context, and we encourage all those who work with us to do the same.

SPA is dedicated to creating an intentionally inclusive Society that does not discriminate on the basis of all identity dimensions, which include, but are not limited to, ability, age, body size, educational status, ethnicity, family responsibilities, gender identity, gender expression, immigrant status, marital status, national origin, place of residence or business, political affiliation, race, religion, sex, sexual orientation, socioeconomic status, and veteran status, in any of its principles, policies, programs, publications, and practices.
