2022 SPA Convention Scholarship - Diversity

The Society for Personality Assessment (SPA) has created scholarships opportunities to attend the 2022 SPA Convention and Workshops. This $1000 scholarship award includes a complimentary member early-bird rate registration, one night hotel, and up to $500 for reimbursable expenses (travel, additional registration fees, additional hotel, food). Additional funds for expenses may be given if registering at a lower rate. 

Priority for the conference awards will be given to members who are presenting a 1st authored poster or paper at the 2022 convention, and those members who may otherwise not be able to attend the 2022 convention or an SPA virtual workshop in 2022 due to finances. Note that an individual may only receive one scholarship to the Convention.

SPA defines diversity applicants as a member of an underrepresented group in psychology (these groups include, but are not necessarily limited to, ethnic and racial minorities; professionals or students who are or were first-generation college students; members of the LGBTQ+ community; and people with disabilities).

All applications, including supplemental materials, must be submitted by November 7, 11:59pm (EDT)/November 8, 4:59am (GMT). Scholarship deadlines have been extended to November 30, 11:59pm (EDT)/December 1, 4:59am (GMT).
